The S600Ex-UV point-type ultraviolet flame detector employs a high-sensitivity imported UV sensor, which reacts to ultraviolet radiation the instant a fire or explosive ignites. Combining the analysis of flame characteristics during a fire with logical judgment, it exhibits high immunity to false alarms caused by ambient light sources. The detector is suitable for smokeless liquid, gas, and solid fires, as well as other locations where deflagration may occur.
The detector is particularly suitable for fires involving metals such as sodium and magnesium; explosives; and gases such as hydrogen, hydrides, ammonia, and silanes. Use in environments with water vapor or dust accumulation will reduce the detector's sensitivity.
The detector is not suitable for use in environments with arc welding, ultraviolet light exposure, or outdoors.
