What is the difference between diffusion and pumped sampling?

A diffusion detector relies on gas reaching the sensor naturally and is commonly worn in the breathing zone. A pumped detector actively draws a sample through tubing, which helps with remote checks, pre-entry sampling, tanks, ducts, and hard-to-reach points. Pumped sampling introduces transport time, and the tubing material and length must be suitable for the target gas.
