Sensor life depends on the technology, target gas, exposure dose, contaminants, climate, storage, and maintenance. Electrochemical, catalytic, infrared, semiconductor, and other sensors age differently. Treat published life as an estimate, monitor test and calibration results, and replace a sensor when it no longer meets the required performance.
